The Rotary Club of Wahiawa-Waialua take beautifying Wahiawa seriously! Rotary Strong!
Today 13 Rotarians and Friends of Rotarians really got down to work to beautify the Gateway to Wahiawa, as you enter from H2 and Kamehameha Highway. We did this by cutting down weeds on the roadside, sweeping up rubbish and leaves along the entrance to Wahiawa (east side entrance), finishing up using a blower to get all other debris left behind from the sweeping and raking.
We received a lot of support from passing vehicles with a lot of horn blowing! This was exciting to us and pumped us up to work even harder! It was and thirsty work, but so rewarding!
ost of the Rotarians and friends spent a little over an hour, with three others putting in a total of 2 hours to complete phase one. The second phase will be the little park itself.
