Join us February 11 for Laurie Yoshida, of Rotary Club of Kauai and who is a PDG for D5000 (2011-2012). She will provide updated information for Corteva. With roots in Hawai’i dating back more than five decades, Corteva Agriscience began its operations as Pioneer Hi-Bred International in 1968. Adopting land formerly used for sugarcane cultivation, Pioneer began researching conventional hybrid corn seed varieties in Waimea. In 1999 Pioneer expanded to O’ahu, opening its current Waialua Parent Seed farm and introducing the Kunia Research Center in 2005. Today, Corteva utilizes modern biotechnology to develop and grow both conventional and genetically engineered corn seeds. Corteva Hawai’i continues to help farmers across the globe face the many challenges within the agricultural farming industry. |

Haley is the President of Haley Marguerite Enterprises Inc. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Siesta Key, Florida. Haley is an author and speaker. She writes children books. They are about Charlie the penguin. Currently to date, she has published three books in hwe Charlie Takes an Adventure book series. The books teach children fun facts and historical landmarks. Haley would like to shar her story about becoming an author. |

A skilled healthcare professional, Cunningham possesses more than three decades of hands-on clinical, operational, financial and strategic leadership experience and has demonstrated numerous healthcare service excellence accomplishments. CHC Consulting, the management and consulting arm of Community Hospital Corporation, entered into an agreement to manage Wahiawa General Hospital in October, 2016. Cunningham has relocated to Hawaii from Gila Regional Medical Center, Silver City, New Mexico, where he served as CEO for four years. At Gila, he led the implementation of a successful series of patient, staff and physician-focused quality improvement initiatives for the 68-bed, county-owned acute care hospital and physician practice network. Earlier, Cunningham had direct responsibility for nine skilled-nursing/long-term care facilities as Director of Rehabilitation at Integrated Health Services in New Mexico, where he had previously served as a Staff Occupational Therapist. “I am excited and honored by the opportunity to serve the people of Wahiawa and am inspired by the challenges and opportunities my new role presents,” said Cunningham. “I look forward to a highly positive and long-term relationship with patients, caregivers and the entire Wahiawa community as we strive toward an effective, trust-based relationship. My dedication to clinical excellence combined with a proven metrics-focused approach will enable us to strengthen the hospital and provide critical medical services to our community.” Cunningham holds a Master of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University, a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). |
